Booking terms

Applying does not guarantee a seat. Your seat is confirmed when ExCo successfully receives the first payment required for your edition. The confirmation email records the booking but is not an extra condition.

Your confirmed seat and the edition's status are different. An available edition is open for booking but is not yet guaranteed to run. A confirmed edition is guaranteed to run.

Seat availability is separate again. If an edition reaches its maximum spots, it moves to On Request and you may join the waitlist for free. An unavailable edition is cancelled or finished and cannot be booked.

Bucketlist and ExCo use the same payment rules. Your schedule depends on the category assigned to the edition, not the brand. Check your booking message if you are unsure which category applies.

If you book after a scheduled deadline has passed, ExCo may require the total amount due up to that date.

If a scheduled payment is missed, the booking is auto-cancelled. We send reminders 14, 7, 3, 1, and 0 days before the deadline. The last four reminders warn about cancellation. CX sends the cancellation email immediately.

Some editions require ExCo to commit money to suppliers for items such as internal flights or limited-capacity experiences. If this applies, ExCo will tell you that your booking has a High-Commitment amount.

This is not a separate payment category. Your edition still follows its assigned payment schedule. Once ExCo commits the High-Commitment amount to suppliers, it is non-refundable and is deducted only from an approved visa-rejection or medical-fitness refund. Ordinary cancellation follows your edition's configured cancellation policy.

The base edition price is locked when ExCo receives your first payment. We do not increase that base price later, and amounts already paid stay fixed.

If the edition is priced in a foreign currency, the INR value of an unpaid future instalment may change with the exchange rate used when that instalment is processed.

ExCo calculates a booking-specific refund from successful edition payments received. We first deduct the applicable administration fee, capped at the amount paid. We then apply the refund percentage for your category and cancellation window.

After the final cancellation threshold, no refund or wallet credit applies. Bereavement, illness, and other personal emergencies do not create a separate exception.

• Wallet credit remains valid at full value for 12 months from the date of issue. Unused credit lapses after that period.
• You may choose a bank refund only if you paid at least ₹50,000 toward the booking.
• Wallet credit may be transferred to friends or family for a new booking, up to 1 transfer per guest.
• Once money has been credited to the ExCo Wallet, it cannot later be converted to cash.

A bank refund can be selected only when you paid at least ₹50,000 toward the booking. Wallet credit is immediate after approval. A bank refund normally takes 5 to 7 business days and goes to the original payer.

A paid booking cannot be moved directly to another edition. You must cancel it, receive any eligible wallet refund, and make a new booking.

A confirmed seat also cannot be reassigned directly to another traveller. Wallet credit may be transferred for a new booking only within the transfer limit shown above.

Visa decisions belong to the embassy or visa authority. ExCo can guide you, but cannot promise approval.

If your visa is rejected, send us the embassy's rejection letter. ExCo will credit all edition payments it received to your Wallet, after deducting any High-Commitment amount already committed to suppliers. Embassy charges, appointment fees, insurance premiums, and other external costs are not included. This is a wallet refund, not a cash or bank refund.

Travel insurance is mandatory for international trips and recommended for domestic trips.

For an international trip, standard comprehensive insurance must cover medical expenses, injury or death, repatriation, cancellation or curtailment, and every activity in the itinerary. ExCo does not require a particular insurer or minimum sum insured.

A special requirement does not block booking confirmation. CX coordinates the request and Production makes the final decision. We will tell you whether it can be supported by 30 days before departure.

If circumstances later prevent ExCo from delivering a previously accepted requirement, we will tell you as soon as we know. This does not create a refund or other financial remedy.

ExCo does not require a doctor's certificate. If ExCo decides after payment that you cannot safely participate, we will refund the edition payments received after deducting any High-Commitment amount already committed to suppliers.

If ExCo cancels an edition for a reason within its control, we will credit all edition payments received by ExCo to your Wallet. External charges paid to an embassy, insurer, airline, or another third party are not included.

For a significant itinerary or accommodation change, you may accept the change or cancel for the same full wallet credit.

If war, terrorism, natural disaster, epidemic, fire, severe weather, or another event outside ExCo's control prevents the edition from running, ExCo will seek recovery from suppliers.

We will credit your Wallet only with the amount ExCo actually recovers. We cannot promise a full refund before suppliers settle. While recovery is pending, ExCo will update affected customers once every three weeks.

Travellers must follow local laws and reasonable instructions from ExCo's facilitators and CX team.

A facilitator or CX may remove a participant whose conduct threatens safety, welfare, or the running of the edition. We normally give one clear warning first. A serious and immediate risk may lead to removal without a warning.

A removed participant receives no refund for the unused portion and has no appeal route through ExCo.

Weather, local conditions, availability, and safety may require ExCo to change accommodation, activities, transport, or timings before or during the trip. We will tell you about material changes and, where practical, provide a comparable alternative.

You are responsible for:

• Holding a valid passport and obtaining required visas and vaccinations.
• Providing accurate information for your booking and visa application.
• Telling ExCo about medical, dietary, mobility, or other participation requirements.
• Following local laws and reasonable instructions from ExCo's facilitators, CX team, and operating partners.
• Treating other travellers, staff, partners, and local communities with respect.

To the extent permitted by law, ExCo is not responsible for loss, injury, delay, or expense caused by events outside its reasonable control, transport disruption, third-party failure, illness, or a traveller's own acts or omissions. The force-majeure recovery rule above applies when an outside event prevents the edition from running.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or a booking.
