Why we’re so excited
Woohoo! An icelandic adventure has been on our bucketlist for such a long time, it’s not even funny. Creating this experience was as thrilling as it would be to actually be on it.
Iceland is nothing like you’ve ever seen before, outside of Northern Lights there are waterfalls, glaciers & geothermal spas. There are national parks & gorgeous people. Reykjavik is the party capital of Northern Europe & we felt there was no better way to experience all of this than having our own SUVs and hitting the road.
We’ve designed this roadtrip in Iceland as a story of a lifetime and you won’t stop talking about this one for years to come.
Shotgun! See you in Iceland.
With Love,
Jay Ahya,

Notes for you
Bucketlist Journeys are premium-immersive adventures
-
You’ll need a Schengen Visa to fly to Iceland. The process can be started as early as 6 months before departure and you will have to attend the appointment in person.
If you have applied for a Schengen Visa in recent times and have already done your biometrics, an agent can submit the documents on your behalf. We have an in-house visa team who will consult you and assist you through the entire journey over calls & email.
-
We don't offer airport transfers to the hotel because of the different arrival times of Bucketlister. Easiest way is to book a Fly Bus from the KEF airport to Foss Hotel Baron. We do recommend getting in touch with your fellow travellers on the WhatsApp group to coordinate if anyone is landing around the same time and take a Fly Bus to the hotel with them.
-
The luggage allowance for the roadtrip is one big suitcase (28inch maximum) and a laptop bag
-
We recommend having a read-through of the itinerary above, and getting in touch if you have specific questions on fitness here.
This adventure is fast-paced and includes a road trip, however, the activities aren’t too strenuous so it is a fantastic trip for those with a normal level of fitness who want to see a lot in their time here. We also design our flow where we give enough downtime & space to explore on your own pace as well.
-
Please arrive in Reykjavik before 1 pm on Day 1. The welcome meeting and dinner will be from 6 pm onwards starting at the hotel, which is located approximately 45 minutes away from the airport.
-
Fly into and out of Reykjavik-Keflavík International Airport (KEF). Check for Finn Air flights from New Delhi for easy access to Reykajavik. Note Finn Air flights only fly on certain days of the week (Wed-Fri-Sat). Upon arrival, take a flybus from the airport to the hotel. It takes about 60-90 mins depending on the weather.
-
Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and is difficult to predict where will they appear. You can see the Northern Lights from late August to May, but October and April happens to the best time. The night skies will be much darker, improving the chances but please note that sightings are never guaranteed.
-
Please be aware that the itinerary, experiences, and hotels are subject to change. These changes are rare but can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting which we will always try and communicate to you.

Why did we start Bucketlist?
As creators, founders ourselves, we know that travelling the world has made us more aware about the world outside & inside. We find travel to be an excellent facilitator of new ideas, perspectives & inspiration — something extremely critical for unlocking your potential. Bucketlist intends to create access to global experiences that help people level up.
How does it work?
Bucketlist curates the travellers. To request an invite, go here. Once you request your invite, the team screens your request and sends you an invite if Bucketlist is relevant to you. Once you get your invite, you can go ahead and confirm your spot.
How much does it cost?
Bucketlists cost approximately the same as you’d spend on a solo vacation in that destination. However, the value add you get is curated folks, handcrafted experiences & a journey that feels like a flow.
Who leads the journeys?
Bucketlists are designed in collaboration with local creators & founders in their countries. If it doesn’t inspire them, it won’t inspire you. Simple! Onground, these journeys are end-to-end facilitated by this local team.
Who will I meet?
Bucketlist curates it’s travellers, which means not everyone can buy a ticket. To join an adventure, you need to request an invite, after which the team screens your request and sends you an invite if Bucketlist is relevant to you. Once you get your invite, you can make a 20% advance payment to confirm your spot.
Can I ask for travel assistance?
Our round-the-clock team means you will always get help when you need it. We want your travel to be smooth, so outside of the well-designed travel dashboard and curated guidebook, our team will be happy to assist with travel, visa, flights or additional bookings.
Why Bucketlist?
The World has a lot to offer / As creators & founders, we look for inspiration in everything we do. We don’t know where the next epiphanies lie. One of the ways we’ve found to engineer serendipity, level up & create space for epiphanies is through new experiences & travel.
We have a lot to share / Hosting festivals, BHX, collaborating with brands and exploring the world has taught us a few things about creating experiences that move - creating communities where none exist.
You asked for it / Everytime we’ve hungout with creators, founders, movement makers, culture shifters in Shillong or in Berlin — they haven’t stopped asking us for more. SOTC, Solo Travel & travelling with friends just doesn’t cut it for them. And there is a big big world to explore. We wished for this and you asked for it.
