Why we’re so excited
Oh this country!
Can someone tell us what’s going on here? From neon lit streets, to robot cafes, to restaurants operated by real—life private detectives, to bullet trains, manga culture and street food. Japan will first blow your mind, and then blow your mind again.
Designing this experience in Japan was the most fun we’ve had in recent times — and talking to local experts from Japan added to the magic.
From futuristic Tokyo to modern Osaka to ancient Kyoto, we designed this adventure as a story of a lifetime and I cannot wait for you to experience it.
See you in Japan, soon.
With Love,
Jay Ahya,
Founder, Experience Co.

We recommend having a read-through of the itinerary above, and getting in touch if you have specific questions on fitness here.
This adventure is fast-paced and includes a road trip, however, the activities aren’t too strenuous so it is a fantastic trip for those with a normal level of fitness who want to see a lot in their time here. We also design our flow where we give enough downtime & space to explore on your own pace as well.
-
Fly into Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT). You can book your return flight from Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX).
-
We recommend arriving in Tokyo by 1 pm, allowing ample time for immigration and reaching the hotel. You can have enough time to check in (3 pm) and rest, before the welcome meeting & dinner. Your welcome meeting with your Facilitator guide and group will begin around 5-6 pm, although we suggest getting here earlier to enjoy some free time to explore.
-
On your final day, we recommend booking flights in the afternoon so you can take it easy in the morning. The checkout is at 12 pm.
-
We don't offer airport transfers to the hotel because of the different arrival times of Bucketlister. Easiest way is to book a Fly Bus from the KEF airport to Foss Hotel Baron. We do recommend getting in touch with your fellow travellers on the WhatsApp group to coordinate if anyone is landing around the same time and take a Fly Bus to the hotel with them.
-
The luggage allowance for the transfers is 23kg. We will be travelling between the cities via trains.
-
This is a well-orchestrated experience designed to leave room for discovery.
Some adventures are pre-planned. Some unfold on the fly. Add-ons can be chosen in advance, and the rest? Facilitators often suggest spontaneous ideas you can join in like a museum pop-in, a hidden cafe stop, or a live gig. These aren’t always in the gameplan, but they’re often the most memorable.
Expect space to explore solo, connect with your tribe, or recharge at your own pace. This is an edition, not an itinerary.
Note: Gameplans, experiences & hotels are subject to change based on on-ground conditions. These changes are rare but can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control, but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting, which we will always try and communicate to you.

Why Bucketlist?
The World has a lot to offer / As creators & founders, we look for inspiration in everything we do. We don’t know where the next epiphanies lie. One of the ways we’ve found to engineer serendipity, level up & create space for epiphanies is through new experiences & travel.
We have a lot to share / Hosting festivals, BHX, collaborating with brands and exploring the world has taught us a few things about creating experiences that move - creating communities where none exist.
You asked for it / Everytime we’ve hungout with creators, founders, movement makers, culture shifters in Shillong or in Berlin — they haven’t stopped asking us for more. SOTC, Solo Travel & travelling with friends just doesn’t cut it for them. And there is a big big world to explore. We wished for this and you asked for it.

A culture x futuristic rollercoaster
