A story of a lifetime
Why we’re so excited
Oh this country!
Can someone tell us what’s going on here? From neon lit streets, to robot cafes, to restaurants operated by real—life private detectives, to bullet trains, manga culture and street food. Japan will first blow your mind, and then blow your mind again.
Designing this experience in Japan was the most fun we’ve had in recent times — and talking to local experts from Japan added to the magic.
From futuristic Tokyo to modern Osaka to ancient Kyoto, we designed this adventure as a story of a lifetime and I cannot wait for you to experience it.
See you in Japan, soon.
With Love,
Jay Ahya,
Founder, Experience Co.

Just book and show up, Bucketlist is drama and stress free. You focus on the adventure, let us take care of the details.
The best part about this trip was that we felt like a gang, a bunch of really cool people exploring new cities, going on adventures & hanging out in spaces that celebrated us. I never felt like a tourist, it felt home.

Notes for you
Bucketlist Journeys are premium-immersive adventures
-
3 days before the Edition date, the group is opened for discussion.
-
You’ll need an e-Visa to fly to Japan. The process can be started as early as 3 months before departure.
We have an in-house visa team who will consult you and assist you through the entire journey over calls & email.
-
We don't offer airport transfers to the hotel because of the different arrival times. We recommend contacting your fellow travellers on the WhatsApp group to coordinate if anyone is landing around the same time and taking a cab to the hotel with them. It is well connected by metros and buses as well.
-
Approximately 7250 Yen, the equivalent of USD 50 per day.
-
The luggage allowance for the transfers is 23kg. We will be travelling between the cities via trains.
-
We recommend having a read-through of the itinerary above, and getting in touch if you have specific questions on fitness here.
This adventure is fast-paced, however, the activities aren’t too strenuous so it is a fantastic trip for those with a normal level of fitness who want to see a lot in their time here. We also design our flow where we give enough downtime & space to explore on your own pace as well.
-
We recommend arriving in Tokyo by 1 pm, allowing ample time for immigration and reaching the hotel. You can have enough time to check in (3 pm) and rest, before the welcome meeting & dinner. Your welcome meeting with your Facilitator guide and group will begin around 5-6 pm, although we suggest getting here earlier to enjoy some free time to explore.
-
Fly into Tokyo’s Narita International Airport (NRT). You can book your return flight from Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX).
-
Please be aware that the itinerary, experiences, and hotels are subject to change. These changes are rare but can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting which we will always try and communicate to you.
-
On your final day, we recommend booking flights in the afternoon so you can take it easy in the morning. The checkout is at 12 pm.
-
1. Either from the airport or get a sim from local market + ask your hotel reception for suggestions
2. We prefer and recommend Ubigi App, its an e-sim service that you can activate so that you have internet as soon as you land in a new country. Only for people with phones that allow e-sims. All iphones have e-sims, some androids have, some dont.

Why did we start Bucketlist?
As creators, founders ourselves, we know that travelling the world has made us more aware about the world outside & inside. We find travel to be an excellent facilitator of new ideas, perspectives & inspiration — something extremely critical for unlocking your potential. Bucketlist intends to create access to global experiences that help people level up.
How does it work?
Bucketlist curates the travellers. To request an invite, go here. Once you request your invite, the team screens your request and sends you an invite if Bucketlist is relevant to you. Once you get your invite, you can go ahead and confirm your spot.
How much does it cost?
Bucketlists cost approximately the same as you’d spend on a solo vacation in that destination. However, the value add you get is curated folks, handcrafted experiences & a journey that feels like a flow.
Who leads the journeys?
Bucketlists are designed in collaboration with local creators & founders in their countries. If it doesn’t inspire them, it won’t inspire you. Simple! Onground, these journeys are end-to-end facilitated by this local team.
Who will I meet?
Bucketlist curates it’s travellers, which means not everyone can buy a ticket. To join an adventure, you need to request an invite, after which the team screens your request and sends you an invite if Bucketlist is relevant to you. Once you get your invite, you can make a 20% advance payment to confirm your spot.
Can I ask for travel assistance?
Our round-the-clock team means you will always get help when you need it. We want your travel to be smooth, so outside of the well-designed travel dashboard and curated guidebook, our team will be happy to assist with travel, visa, flights or additional bookings.
Why Bucketlist?
The World has a lot to offer / As creators & founders, we look for inspiration in everything we do. We don’t know where the next epiphanies lie. One of the ways we’ve found to engineer serendipity, level up & create space for epiphanies is through new experiences & travel.
We have a lot to share / Hosting festivals, BHX, collaborating with brands and exploring the world has taught us a few things about creating experiences that move - creating communities where none exist.
You asked for it / Everytime we’ve hungout with creators, founders, movement makers, culture shifters in Shillong or in Berlin — they haven’t stopped asking us for more. SOTC, Solo Travel & travelling with friends just doesn’t cut it for them. And there is a big big world to explore. We wished for this and you asked for it.
