Meet the Tribe
The right people make the whole journey better.
We are deliberate about who enters the room. Take your time settling in. The right conversations do not have to happen on cue.
A regional director who co-founded a global network for women in real estate, coaches leaders on the side, and still decided a music festival in Rajasthan was exactly where she needed to be. That kind of instinct tends to attract the same. That's what's happening with this first cohort heading to Jodhpur RIFF.
The rest of this early tribe pulls in a director shaping construction projects across continents, a film entrepreneur with the energy of someone who runs things her own way, a managing director who moves with quiet authority, and a former Navy officer turned investor. Strangers on paper. Not for long.
The difference
The plan is handled. The pace is still yours.
A full route
The big moments are planned, with room to take them in.

No packed vans
Up to 12 people. No giant groups, endless roll calls or spending the day wondering why you even showed up.
Jodhpur RIFF
The Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) is a sonic time machine. Under a full moon, in the ramparts of Mehrangarh Fort, the world’s finest folk artists and experimental musicians come together to create magic. This October, we’re taking you inside the heart of it all. Get ready for a journey that sings to your soul and a tribe that will make you feel alive.
Special Edition: Join us for an epic Tribe Reunion at Jodhpur RIFF 🌻
This isn’t just a festival. It’s four days of untamed, soul-stirring magic in the heart of Jodhpur. A city painted in blue, a fortress older than time, and a soundtrack that echoes through the desert night.
By day, we’ll lose ourselves in the maze of Jodhpur’s blue alleys. By night, we’ll be front and centre at India’s most underrated folk music festival. Think intimate jam sessions, moonlit concerts, and collaborations you won’t hear anywhere else.
Stay in a stunning heritage haveli, a place that feels like stepping into a royal dream. And the company? A tribe that thrives on experiences that hit home. If you’ve ever wanted to experience music in a way that rewires your soul, this is your call.

A note from the curators
There are many ways to explore India. This is one of our favourites.
Ask your favourite AI for a trip and you will usually get a perfectly sensible TripAdvisor checklist: famous stop, quick photo, next stop. That is not how we want you to experience India.
We plan the hard-to-reach magic, then leave room for detours, long conversations and the moments no schedule can manufacture. After every edition, we keep what worked, change what did not and make this journey better.

What are you really signing up for?
01
The Journey
Designed with intention, improved every time we run it and stripped of checklist filler. The whole journey, with room to actually be there.
02
The Facilitator
A real ExCo facilitator, not someone reading from a tour-bus script. They know when to lead, bring people together and give you room.
03
The Tribe
We keep a strong noise filter, so the people beside you when the moment lands are fun, curious and full of life.
Who is it for?
For people who want the whole trip, with room to breathe.
You want days that feel full, not rushed: the hard parts handled, the good moments given time, and people worth sharing them with.

The big moments
The bits you will tell first.
The moments worth building the trip around.

- And just when you think it’s over, RIFF Rustle takes the stage! A no-rules, all-heart jam session where artists from across the festival come together for one final, unfiltered explosion of sound
- The kind of moment that can’t be planned, only felt. This night will stay etched in your memory for a long time.

Why community × travel
Travel is the catalyst. Community is what stays.
Twelve years ago, we started creating journeys in the hope that the right people, in the right place, could make something unrepeatable happen. From roadtrips across Iceland to sake crawls through Japan, that belief has only grown stronger.
Every creator, artist, rebel and doer deserves a space to travel with people they vibe with, to places that make them feel infinite. Across BHX, Festival of X and Bucketlist, travel has never been the finish line. It opens conversations, friendships and the kind of magic that is hard to explain once you are home.

The Tribe has range
Different worlds. One shared route.
Some arrive talking. Some take a day to warm up. Both belong here.
Notes for you
Across the 12 months ending 29 July 2026, our travelled groups were close to balanced, with about 55% women and 44% men. The median traveller was 34 and the median group had 9 people. That is a historical snapshot, not a promise about the mix on a specific edition.
We design each edition around the destination rather than using a standard tour template. The usual rhythm is one or two experiences a day, with room to take the place in instead of rushing through a checklist.
Yes. Anyone aged 18 or older can apply. Our groups often skew from the late 20s to early 40s, but fit, energy and the experience itself matter more than fitting a narrow age band.
Yes. You can apply solo or with someone you know.
Yes — Jodhpur has solid 4G coverage across the city including the old town. If you're flying in from abroad, grab a local SIM (Airtel/Jio) at the airport, around INR 300-600 for a tourist data pack. Most cafes and your accommodation will have WiFi too, so staying connected won't be an issue.
Group transport is arranged for all scheduled activities and sessions. For personal exploring on free time, autos and app-based cabs (Ola/Uber work fine in Jodhpur) are cheap and easy — expect INR 100-300 for most short hops within the city. Airport transfers aren't included, so plan your own cab or share with fellow travelers landing around the same time.
Jodhpur is one of the safer, more tourist-familiar cities in India, especially during RIFF when the city's buzzing with visitors. That said, your ExCo trip lead will share a local emergency contact card at check-in with numbers for our on-ground coordinator, the nearest hospital, and local police. Always keep your ID and this card on you during self-explore time.
Comfortable walking shoes (streets are cobbled and uneven), a light shawl/stole for cool evenings and fort visits, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, power bank, and a light jacket for late-night festival sessions. Modest clothing is appreciated at religious sites in the Blue Town. Don't over-pack — you'll want room for textile shopping.
Pleasant, honestly one of the best times to visit. Daytime highs around 32-34°C, evenings cooling to 18-20°C. Pack light cottons for the day and a light jacket or shawl for evening sessions at RIFF, which often run outdoors at Mehrangarh Fort after sunset.
Nothing extreme — Level 3 means moderate walking, mostly on the Blue Town Wanderings and Food Walking Tour, through Jodhpur's old city lanes which involve some uneven stone steps and inclines near Mehrangarh Fort. If you can comfortably walk 2-3 hours over a few days with breaks, you're set. Comfortable closed shoes are non-negotiable.
Alcohol isn't included in any of the group meals or sessions. Rajasthan has state-run liquor stores and most decent restaurants/bars serve alcohol, so you can easily buy your own if you'd like a drink in the evenings. Just budget it separately — expect INR 300-600 for a beer at a casual spot.
You'll thrive, honestly. Rajasthan is one of the most vegetarian-friendly regions in India — dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and ker sangri are all plant-based staples. Our Food Walking Tour and Lunch & Conversations sessions include vegetarian options by default, and vegan requests can be accommodated with advance notice — just flag it when you book.
Realistically, keep INR 6,000-10,000 aside for flights-adjacent costs (airport cabs run INR 400-700 in Jodhpur), a couple of personal dinners (INR 400-800 per meal at decent places), coffee, shopping at the famous Sardar Market for textiles or spices, and tips. Alcohol isn't included in group meals, so factor that separately if you drink.
Included: all RIFF event & session access, the Food Walking Tour, Blue Town Wanderings, and Lunch & Conversations sessions. Not included: flights to/from Jodhpur, airport transfers, personal meals outside the listed ones, drinks, shopping, and any solo excursions you fancy on off-hours. Budget roughly INR 5,000-8,000 extra for the trip for personal spends.
If you're an Indian passport holder, zero paperwork, zero cost — you're good to go. If you're travelling in from abroad, you'll need a standard Indian tourist e-visa, but since this edition is priced for domestic travel, please check with us directly for visa guidance based on your nationality before booking flights.
